When creating our products we have used a Hungarian speciality, the silky and dense tokaji aszú wine. The tokaji essence is the juice slowly pressed out from the aszú-grapes by their own weight, which mainly contains sugars, amino-acids and vitamins. By adding tokaji aszú and the essence to the cosmetic products, we increase the hydrating effect of the cosmetics, which is beneficial to the metabolism of the skin and improves blood circulation. All beneficial effects of the tokaji aszú and the essence are present in the Helia-D Tokaji Aszú series. Hungarian patent No. 178786 used for developing the products is based on the realisation that adding tokaji aszú and tokaji essence to the traditional ingredients of cosmetic products increases the moisturising effect of the product, they have a positive effect on the metabolism of the skin, improve blood flow, nourish the skin, improve the skin tone, have a disinfectant effect and reinforce the epidermis. (Source: 178786 patent description) Among the substances present in the tokaji aszú wines in a larger amount, there is a significant, often more than 10 time difference compared to other wines regarding glycerine and organic acid. There are many biologically important substances present in small quantities that are completely missing from other wines or are only present in really small quantities. The owners of Helia-D are devoted fans of the Tokaji wines and winemaking, they are the founding members of the Mádi Kör Eredecvédelmi Egyesület, so this series realises a long held dream and obligation.
